"Swap old stories for new adventure "
What ? A book swap . A book swap is an
exchange of books. It's a nice way to refresh your collection and give a second
life to unwanted books.On collection day, for each book brought to school, a
token will be given. Children, parents, teachers, staff members will be able to
use their token in exchange for books on the swap day.
When ? The swap will happen on Thursday October 8th,
but before that date, we need some help from parents to collect the books, give
the tokens, sort out the books and finally run the stalls on the event day.
How can I help ?
1 Donate books, but remember they have to be in good condition;
damaged books will be refused. All kind of books, even in foreign languages
(Korean, French, German, Vietnamese etc...), for kids, for adults etc..
Help to sort and categorise the donated books.
Run the stalls on the day of exchange in the foyer.
So please consider signing up to contribute to the school
community. If you drop/pick up your child from school, come a bit earlier and
receive the books and give the tokens in exchange. On the swap day,
come earlier, help set up the "swap library" and help run the
exchange. It will take place during school hours.
